Building the Perfect Mezze Platter:

Dips: Hummus, tzatziki, or baba ganoush
Fresh & Pickled Vegetables: Cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, and pickled onions
Protein: Spiced lamb skewers, falafel, or grilled prawns
Breads & Crackers: Pita bread, lavosh, or warm flatbreads
Something Sweet: Honey-drizzled figs or dates
1. Spiced Lamb Skewers
A perfect balance of savoury and spice, these skewers are a must-have on any mezze board.
500g minced NZ lamb
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 clove garlic, crushed
1-2 tsp NZ sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
approx 10 skewers, it can help to presoak these if using BBQ to prevent skewers from burning.
Mix all ingredients and make about 10 small meatballs, 2 tablespoons. Squeeze onto small skewers in sausage shapes.
Grill or pan-fry for 2-3 minutes per side.
Serve with tzatziki and warm pita.
2. Whipped Feta & Honey Dip

200g feta cheese
4 tbsp Greek yogurt
zest of 1 lemon
1 tbsp honey, warm 20 in the microwave to be able to drizzle
1 tsp olive oil
Blend feta, yogurt, lemon zest and olive oil until smooth.
Drizzle with honey before serving.
