Tasting Notes: Rich in minerality, with hints of hawthorn, exotic fruits and honey. To the palate, it reveals itself to be fresh, crisp, dry and honest! The fruity notes are harmoniously balanced by the body and the acidity.
A note on NZ reviews here: Wines from this vineyard are consistently appearing on the buying guides of international wine reviewers James Suckling and Jancis Robinson. As well as European wine annual wine buying guides. Sadly I haven't seen an NZ tasting note I can publish for you since 2014, (Sam Kim, Wine Orbit). But this is more of a reflection of the sheer volume of wine to taste by our local reviewers. It is not for lack of quality as Fattoria La Valentina consistently produces high-ranking wines.
Fattoria La Valentina: Located in Pescara in the central part of Italy, the La Valentina Estate overlooks the beautiful Spoltore. Sabatino and Roberto e Andrea Di Properzio established this estate in 1994. The owners were quite passionate about winemaking, and they learnt a lot through their experience working in the Saint Teresa Vineyards nearby.
The main aim of the La Valentina estate was to get recognition all over Italy and the world, for the excellent quality of DOC wines crafted in the Abruzzo region.
