Tasting Notes: The Odyssey Reserve Iliad label is reserved for those wines that show exceptional finesse and character. This Pinot Noir is concentrated with blackberry and cherry fruit flavours. The sweet fruit, cedary oak and silky tannins give weight to a wine that will age particularly well.
REVIEWS:
Cameron Douglas MS 95 Points - Outstanding A complex and detailed bouquet with fragrances of raspberries and plums, a stony mineral and dried clay quality, the gentle wood spices and barrel smoke layer in complexity and power. A wine of pinosity and intrigue. On the palate a taut, dry wine that takes a few minutes in the glass to settle and open out to reveal flavours of roses and boysenberry, baking spices and a touch of bacon. As the wine continues to open up in glass the intrigue and complexity, youth and energy begin to upload on the palate. Taut, dry and lengthy, a wine of complexity and charm. Give this wine time, it will reward. Best drinking from 2027 through 2037
Sam Kim, Wine Orbit 94-points 5 stars ***** Stylish and refined, the wine shows Black Doris plum, violet, dried herb, toasted spice and cedar characters, combined with a rich and weighty palate that’s silky-smooth and fleshy. An abundance of polished tannins provides structure, finishing gracefully and persistently. At its best: now to 2030
