Albert Bichot Pouilly-Fuissé is a richer, partly oaked white Burgundy from the southern Mâconnais, with texture, spice and length.
Mâconnais | Family House Since 1831 | Premium Chardonnay
Tasting Notes
This wine features a lively, aromatic nose with predominant notes of white fruit and spices, underpinned by a subtle touch of oak and vanilla. Mineral on the palate, with a good balance between acidity and roundness. Lovely length.
The most serious of the Mâconnais whites, with the texture to match a meal.
Why you'll love it: it bridges the gap between crisp Chablis and full Côte de Beaune Chardonnay, with a touch of oak adding depth without weight.
About Albert Bichot
Albert Bichot is a historic Burgundy house, founded in Beaune in 1831 and still family-owned, now run by the sixth generation under Albéric Bichot. It is one of the region's larger names, farming around 100 hectares of certified-organic vineyards across six estates that stretch from Chablis in the north to Beaujolais in the south, with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay at its heart. The house is also the leading buyer at the historic Hospices de Beaune charity auction.
Perfect with roast chicken, creamy pasta, or grilled fish in a butter sauce.
