Black Doris plums with lifted aromatics from the concentrated smaller berries. Tight and precise on the palate with terroir expressive minerality. This is heightened with plush red fruits and some intriguing dry herbal notes. Central Otago, New Zealand.

The Awards

Amisfield has earned exceptional recognition in recent years, including the Riedel Vineyard of the Year title at the 2024 New Zealand Organic Wine Awards, following previous wins as Sustainable Vineyard of the Year in 2020, 2022, and 2023. Their commitment to quality has been recognised internationally with Gold Medal wins at the London Wine Competition 2023, and their Pinot Noir consistently scores in the high 90s with Wine Spectator. Most recently, their 2024 Pinot Noir Rosé earned a Gold Medal at the New Zealand Organic Wine Awards 2025.

Set against the backdrop of the majestic Pisa mountain range, Amisfield is one of the largest single-estate vineyards in Central Otago. The dramatic high country landscape with its continental climate and mineral-rich soils creates concentrated, smaller berries that deliver exceptional terroir expression.

About Amisfield

Established in 1988 beneath the Pisa Range, Amisfield has grown into one of Central Otago's defining estates, specialising in Pinot Noir and aromatic whites from a single vineyard. A minimal-intervention philosophy lets the site's character carry through, and the estate has been fully certified organic by BioGro New Zealand since 2021, following a conversion begun in 2015. It's a genuine, restaurant-quality expression of its place.

Perfect with duck breast, grilled salmon, or mushroom risotto. The wine's structured minerality and red fruit character enhance both protein and earthy flavours whilst the precise tannins complement rich, savoury dishes beautifully.
