Pure NZ Excellence | Central Otago | Beautiful NZ Wine

Tasting Notes

A beautifully elegant expression of rosé. Revealing vivid flavours of cranberry and watermelon along with a hint of rose petal. The wine is flavourful whilst exuding a refined profile balanced with its freshness and expressive fruit. A charming wine with layers and length.

One of New Zealand's most elegant and in-demand rosés — every year, it sells out!

Why you'll love it: a dry, refined rosé that sells out every year — perfect for a sunny afternoon, a long lunch, or a celebration.

Reviews

Cameron Douglas MS — 94 Points, "Excellent" (September 2025): "An excellent example reflecting its origins, ripe fruit and very good winemaking."

The Awards

Amisfield has earned exceptional recognition in recent years, including the Riedel Vineyard of the Year title at the 2024 New Zealand Organic Wine Awards, following previous wins as Sustainable Vineyard of the Year in 2020, 2022, and 2023. Their commitment to quality has been recognised internationally with Gold Medal wins at the London Wine Competition 2023, and their Pinot Noir consistently scores in the high 90s with Wine Spectator. Most recently, their 2024 Pinot Noir Rosé earned a Gold Medal at the New Zealand Organic Wine Awards 2025.

The Blend

Pinot Noir-based rosé from a single estate vineyard in Central Otago. Precision harvested and crafted with minimal intervention to capture freshness and natural vibrancy.

About Amisfield

Established in 1988 beneath the Pisa Range, Amisfield has grown into one of Central Otago's defining estates, specialising in Pinot Noir and aromatic whites from a single vineyard. A minimal-intervention philosophy lets the site's character carry through, and the estate has been fully certified organic by BioGro New Zealand since 2021, following a conversion begun in 2015. It's a genuine, restaurant-quality expression of its place.

Perfect with fresh prawns with chilli-lime mayo, prosciutto-wrapped melon, or goat's cheese salad. The wine's vibrant acidity and delicate berry flavours complement light, fresh dishes beautifully.
