Tasting Notes
A pale gold in colour. Fine bubbles feed a persistent mousse. A delicate nose with hints of fresh citrus and white flowers. The wine's complexity is expressed in successive notes such as vine peach and white fruit notes. A perfect balance between freshness and delicacy with fruity flavours very present on the finish. Serve between 8°C and 10°C.
The house's signature non-vintage Brut in a half-bottle format, ideal for two or for tastings.
Why you'll love it: A demi holds about half a standard bottle, roughly three glasses, perfect for an intimate dinner, an aperitif for two, or a tasting without opening a full bottle. Twelve to a case. Half-bottles mature a little faster, so enjoy these while fresh.
The Style
La Cuvée is built around a high proportion of Chardonnay, around half the blend, which is unusually generous for a non-vintage Brut and gives the wine its freshness and finesse. A long, slow ageing in the house cellars adds gentle complexity and the fine mousse.
Reviews
94 points, James Suckling, July 2025: "Rich and layered with pie crust and dried apples." Built on reserve wines from 2019 and 2018, around 52% Chardonnay, roughly 8 g/L dosage.
92 points, Sarah Mayo, The Wine Independent, November 2022: "Vibrant citrus and stone-fruit intensity with a chalky grip." Based on the 2016 vintage, disgorged in 2023.
91 points, Wine Enthusiast (Roger Voss), December 2023: "Rich, with a hint of toast over a mineral texture."
These scores are for the standard La Cuvée; this is the same wine in a 375mL demi format.
The Royal Warrant
Laurent-Perrier holds the Royal Warrant as a supplier of Champagne to the Royal Household. King Charles III granted it in 2024, making Laurent-Perrier the first Champagne house to receive his warrant, a relationship that began when he appointed the house as Prince of Wales in 1998.
About Laurent-Perrier
Laurent-Perrier is an independent, family-owned Champagne house founded in 1812 at Tours-sur-Marne, a Grand Cru village in the heart of the region. After passing to cellar master Eugène Laurent and his widow Mathilde-Emilie Perrier, who gave the house its name, it was bought by Marie-Louise de Nonancourt in 1939. Her son Bernard de Nonancourt, a veteran of the French Resistance, took charge in 1948 and built the modern house style of freshness, elegance and purity, growing Laurent-Perrier into one of the world's leading Champagne houses. It remains independent and family-run, today led by Bernard's daughters Alexandra Pereyre de Nonancourt and Stéphanie Meneux de Nonancourt, with Chardonnay at the heart of its blends.
Perfect with fresh oysters, delicate white fish, or a fine cheese platter. The crisp acidity and fine bubbles make it a natural aperitif and a foil for lighter, salty dishes.
