Tasting Notes
Exudes a deep and rich character with notes of black fruits, liquorice, cocoa, and a hint of black pepper. Its dense and mouth-filling nature is complemented by velvety tannins.
A warming, full-bodied McLaren Vale Shiraz with dark fruit, savoury spice and a smooth, velvety finish.
Why you'll love it: Generous and warming, with velvety tannins and plenty of dark fruit, made for cooler evenings and a proper roast.
About Chapel Hill
Chapel Hill sits in McLaren Vale on the site of the old Seaview chapel and schoolhouse, the 1865 ironstone chapel still standing today as the estate's tasting room. The original vineyard was hand-planted from 1973, perched on the edge of the spectacular Onkaparinga Gorge with sweeping views over McLaren Vale and Gulf St Vincent. Under winemakers Michael Fragos and Bryn Richards, Chapel Hill crafts wines with purity and balance, handling its reds gently with minimal additions and no fining or filtration.
Perfect with slow-roast lamb, beef short rib, or aged cheddar. The velvety tannins and dark fruit love rich, savoury food.
