Tasting Notes

Smooth tannins create a rich, long-lasting wine. Aromas of very ripe small berries, spices, and garrigue define this premium Gigondas. The Les Murailles terroir gives concentrated fruit with classic Southern Rhône character and excellent ageing potential.

A generous, structured Gigondas built to reward time in the cellar.

Why you'll love it: Gigondas offers much of the power of Châteauneuf-du-Pape at a friendlier price, and this is a polished, concentrated example.

About Ferraton Père et Fils

Founded in 1946 by Jean-Orëns Ferraton in Tain l'Hermitage, Ferraton Père et Fils draws on vineyards across the terraced slopes and plains of the Rhône Valley. Now part of the Maison M. Chapoutier family of estates, the house farms a growing share of its vineyards organically and biodynamically, making wines from northern Rhône Syrah through to southern Rhône Grenache blends, each shaped to show its terroir.
