Premium Canterbury rosé | Award-winning 94 points | Perfect for summer entertaining
Tasting Notes
Delicate coral-pink colour in the glass with elegant aromatics of wild strawberries, white peaches, and dried rose petal. The palate reveals refreshing watermelon, pomegranate, and raspberry flavours with excellent texture and balance.
Bright acidity and crisp minerality provide structure, leading to a long, lingering finish of summer fruits and fresh cranberry. Restrained and delicately expressed with brilliant focus and sleek elegance.
Crafted from Omihi hills limestone slopes - North Canterbury terroir at its finest.
The Accolades
Sam Kim, 94 Points, Wine Orbit: "Restrained and delicately expressed on the nose, showing pomegranate, lemon peel, crunchy apple, and oatmeal nuances, followed by a finely textured palate that's juicy and focused. Brilliantly structured by crisp acidity, finishing splendidly long and sleek. At its best: now to 2027."
The Blend
Pinot Noir and Riesling - an elegant combination where Pinot Noir provides the delicate coral colour and red berry character, while Riesling contributes bright acidity and mineral complexity from Canterbury's limestone terroir.
About Greystone
In 2000 the Thomas family purchased an old sheep farm on the Omihi hills for its exceptional limestone slopes and began creating Greystone vineyards. Their single goal: crafting wines that express the unique terroir of North Canterbury.
By 2004 they had planted thirteen blocks across 40 hectares, with Dom Maxwell as winemaker from the first vine planting. Renowned for his experiments in vineyard fermentation, all Greystone wines are grown, made, and bottled on-site in their innovative strawbale winery.
