Laurent-Perrier Grand Siècle N°26 is the house's prestige cuvée, a multi-vintage blend of three declared years (2012, 2008 and 2007) from Tours-sur-Marne.

Champagne, France | Prestige Cuvée | Special Occasions

Tasting Notes

A white gold colour with delicate and persistent bubbles. A very complex nose which mixes honeysuckle, lemon, clementine and fresh butter aromas, followed by notes of hazelnut and a touch of honey. The attack in the mouth is very delicate and fresh with candied lemon and fresh hazelnut aromas. The palate is silky and mineral with notes of honeysuckle, flaked almonds and clementine.

The house's flagship prestige cuvée, built by blending three great years into one.

Why you'll love it: This is Laurent-Perrier at its most serious, a cellar-worthy Champagne for a landmark occasion, complex and silky with years of ageing behind it. A genuine special-occasion bottle.

The Blend

Grand Siècle is built on a simple idea: nature rarely delivers one perfect year, so the house blends several great ones. N°26 brings together three vintages declared exceptional by Laurent-Perrier, 2012, 2008 and 2007 (around 65%, 25% and 10%), a blend of 58% Chardonnay and 42% Pinot Noir from grand cru vineyards. It was disgorged in February 2023 after roughly ten years on the lees. As the house puts it, the blending of the best with the best to obtain the best.

Reviews

100 points and #1 Wine of the Year 2023, James Suckling, July 2023: "This is really something. Electric on the palate."

97 points and #6 Cellar Selection 2023, Wine Enthusiast (Roger Voss), December 2023: "Tautly textured, with poise between white and citrus fruits."

96 points, Tom Hewson, Decanter, June 2023: "Ripe apricots and white peach with a pitch-perfect streak of structure."

The Royal Warrant

Laurent-Perrier holds the Royal Warrant as a supplier of Champagne to the Royal Household. King Charles III granted it in 2024, making Laurent-Perrier the first Champagne house to receive his warrant, a relationship that began when he appointed the house as Prince of Wales in 1998.

About Laurent-Perrier

Laurent-Perrier is an independent, family-owned Champagne house founded in 1812 at Tours-sur-Marne, a Grand Cru village in the heart of the region. After passing to cellar master Eugène Laurent and his widow Mathilde-Emilie Perrier, who gave the house its name, it was bought by Marie-Louise de Nonancourt in 1939. Her son Bernard de Nonancourt, a veteran of the French Resistance, took charge in 1948 and built the modern house style of freshness, elegance and purity, growing Laurent-Perrier into one of the world's leading Champagne houses. It remains independent and family-run, today led by Bernard's daughters Alexandra Pereyre de Nonancourt and Stéphanie Meneux de Nonancourt, with Chardonnay at the heart of its blends.

Perfect with fresh lobster, turbot, or a mature Comté. The depth and fine mousse carry richer seafood and nutty aged cheeses while staying elegant.
