Tasting Notes

Intense aromas of guava, nettle, passionfruit and gooseberry lead into a rich palate of tropical fruits, elderflower and pink grapefruit. Well balanced with juicy acidity and a long lingering finish. Winemaker: Cullen Neal.

A vibrant, intensely aromatic certified organic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc with real depth and a long, saline finish.

The Vineyard

Grown across certified organic vineyards surrounding Renwick, Marlborough, farmed by the Linklater family under BioGro certification (number 5186). As with all Windrush wines, the vineyards were established under organic management from planting rather than converted from conventional farming.

About Windrush Organic

Callum and Sarah Linklater are second-generation organic growers based in Marlborough. Callum's father Bill began the family's organic farming journey with sheep and beef in Otago, questioning the need for chemicals that hadn't been required in earlier generations. When the family moved to Marlborough in 2008, organic certification followed naturally. Windrush is the name of the family's first vineyard. The Linklaters grow Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Sauvignon Blanc across certified organic vineyards surrounding Renwick, producing single-vineyard wines that reflect both the place and their deep commitment to organic farming.

Perfect with fresh Marlborough Sounds mussels, a green herb and feta salad, or grilled market fish with citrus butter. The tropical aromatics and juicy acidity are a natural match for seafood and fresh vegetable dishes.
